They starred in DC’s hit film Aquaman, as well as its sequel, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, playing 38 year old Amber Heard and 44 year old Jason Momoa.
But Heard’s screen time was sharply reduced compared to her previous film.
Now it seems she’s somewhat withdrawn from the spotlight.
There was a lot of speculation and chatter about how Heard and Momoa’s off screen relationship was before the debut of the second ‘Aquaman’ film.
Details of this have now been shared by a film executive.
Heard has largely been out of public view the past few years and reportedly stepped away from her Hollywood career.
The source said that the actress is now ‘settled’ and has thrown herself into motherhood with her daughter Oonagh, who was born in 2021.

Heard’s life has shifted after her legal battles with her former husband, Johnny Depp, a star who appeared in “Pirates of the Caribbean.”
In 2022, Depp won a defamation lawsuit against Heard that was sparked by an op ed she wrote for The Washington Post in 2018 about domestic violence.
Depp’s lawyers had argued that despite being unnamed, the article was, in an indirect sense, referencing a previous accusation Heard had made against Depp.
Both parties levelled a series of concerning accusations against each other throughout the trial.
Heard said that the extent of her involvement in the forthcoming “Aquaman” sequel was significantly reduced as she battled Depp in court.
MailOnline reports she had to fight ‘really hard to stay in the movie’, and further saw her scenes ‘taken away’ in ‘newer versions of the script’.
“They basically took a bunch out of my role,” she said. They just removed a bunch.”
But when it was Depp’s turn with his counter arguments, there was another explanation as to why Heard’s screen time was shortened.
Walter Hamada, executive producer of ‘Aquaman,’ said Heard’s role was never cut down, and the character was always meant to have less prominence.
He added that there were talks about maybe recasting the role of Heard because there was no chemistry between her and Momoa.
“They just didn’t have that much chemistry together,” Hamada told The Independent.
“The reality is, it’s not uncommon in movies for two leads to not have chemistry,” he continued.
“It took a lot of effort” to make their on screen relationship believable, he added.
According to Entertainment Weekly, filmmaker James Wan also spoke on the subject, explaining that the idea for Heard to have a smaller role was a part of the original plan for the sequel.

While there has been plenty of chatter about her role, Heard actually makes an appearance in ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,’ although her part is greatly cut down.
