“I think there’s always opportunities and the potential there to bring things to life,” Cronin stated. “I think there’s a lot of cool aspects to this movie. I think one of the things it maybe has that is a little different to previous movies is a real out-and-out big bad that plays out in that movie in the context of Ellie when she’s possessed. So there’s definitely fun things to explore.“I’ve got great respect for Sam [Raimi], Rob [Tapert], and Bruce [Campbell], as they do for me. It’s a case of seeing if it’s right for everybody. I think that’s ultimately what it comes down to. They’re producers, they’re creatives. I’m a writer-director, I’m a creative, so we’re never going to stop talking about the potential. Some of the things we spoke about was even on set when we were making the movie in the first place. So it’s always like a ‘watch this space’ type of thing. I think if the story’s right and the reason to make the movie is right, then I think the potential for more is going to be there.”

Evil Dead Rise features talented actors Alyssa Sutherland (known for Vikings) and Lily Sullivan (star of Picnic at Hanging Rock), alongside Gabrielle Echols (from Reminiscence), Morgan Davies (recognized from The Girlfriend Experience), and Nell Fisher (known for Northspur). The film was written and directed by Lee Cronin, acclaimed for his work on The Hole In The Ground. Cronin was personally selected by franchise creators Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell, and Robert Tapert. The movie is executive produced by Raimi, Campbell, Tapert, Romel Adam, John Keville, and Macdara Kelleher, combining their expertise to bring this thrilling project to life.

“Moving the action out of the woods and into the city, Evil Dead Rise tells a twisted tale of two estranged sisters whose reunion is cut short by the rise of flesh-possessing demons, thrusting them into a primal battle for survival as they face the most nightmarish version of family imaginable,” reads the film’s synopsis.
