Some took to social media, commenting that it resembles a sound rather than a proper name. Another remarked: “Is this short for something? It feels incomplete.”

One third of individuals worried that the traditional name would lead to future problems for their child and called it: “What a ridiculous name.” There is no question this child will become the target of bullies.

Still, many came to her defence, with one fan writing, “Simple, classy and meaningful.” Parents have full freedom to create modern names for their children.

Another agreed, saying: “Names based on art sources automatically become both beautiful and personal.”

During the interview, Lawrence opened up about what she calls the joyful aspects alongside the difficulties she faces as a mother.

“The euphoria is just — Jesus, it’s impossible,” she shared. “I always tell him, ‘I love you so much it’s impossible.’”

During her emotional journey, she explained her heart experienced growth beyond anything she had foreseen.

“My heart has stretched to a capacity that I didn’t know about. I include my husband in that.”

Additionally, she discussed her concerns regarding what will happen to her son.

“And then they’re both just, like, out there — walking around, crossing streets. He’s gonna drive one day. He’s gonna be a stupid teenager and be behind the wheel of a car,” she said.

“And I’m just gonna be like, Good night! You know? Like, who sleeps?”

According to The Don’t Look Up actress, bringing a child into the world completely changed her perspective.

“The morning after I gave birth, I felt like my whole life had started over. Like, ‘Now is day one of my life,’” she explained.

“I was just so in love. I also fell in love with all babies everywhere. Newborns are just so amazing. They’re these pink, swollen, fragile little survivors.”

Lawrence values privacy for her son, even though she often speaks publicly.

During her former Vanity Fair interview, she said: “Every instinct in my body wants to protect their privacy for the rest of their lives.”

She explained her choice to exclude her child from public work serves to protect his privacy.

Different fans respond to ‘Cy’ personally, but they generally appreciate the idea that stands behind the naming decision.
