Australian Rapper Iggy Izalea, who is popular for tracks like Fancy, Work and Black Widow, chose to join the Adult Platform OnlyFans in 2023 even though she is a successful music artist..
In her first year on the platform, she became one of OnlyFan’s highest earners, making $48 million.
Even though she made such a huge amount, it wasn’t enough to stop the star from moving to another platform, Telegram.
Thus, she joined Laura Shin on her popular Unchained Podcast and explained why she had made it.
‘People think about OnlyFans and they think it’s so s**ually deviant, and a lot of it is, obviously,” she said.
“A lot of it isn’t, but a lot of it is, and so for me to say what I’m going to say right now and say it’s really not that different.”
“I think a lot of people would like to think they’re a lot different to the people that go on OnlyFans.”
Laura said most of her time on the adult platform was just a “learning experience” and she could see that many of her fans just wanted “friendship.”
She talked about how she initially wanted to create a multi-channel platform and how she wanted to post explicit images on her Instagram, but it was obviously against Instagram’s guidelines.
She added: “I ended up getting really sick and not being able to finish that.”
“And what I did figure out was that a lot more of my people that I was talking to every day, just kind of wanted regular human interaction, or friendship, more than a transactional relationship.”
A lot of her fans on Instagram would message her, she said, and they couldn’t afford to subscribe to her content.
That’s why she wanted everyone to be able to enjoy what she posted online, which in turn pushed her to move to Telegram.
The singer was also successful in promoting her Cryptocurrency $MOTHER to a market capitalization of $200 million in just four days through her Telegram account and X.
