Kourtney Kardashian has come out as an autosexual in a viral blog post…
Whether it’s shocking fans with a ‘filthy’ detail in a bedroom snap, or officially changing her name, the Lemme founder is never far from the headlines.
But now, Kourtney has surprised fans with a revelation about her sexuality.
The Kardashians star has confirmed she’s ‘autosexual’ – and fans have been left baffled by the reality TV star’s explanation…
Kardashian has taken to her lifestyle website, Poosh, to make the announcement that she’s an autosexual.
She writes: “Are you autosexual? The short answer is yes, most likely. In fact, we all are, at least a little.”
People have been left confused and annoyed by her divisive admission.
One has taken to Facebook to write: “What the heck is that???”
“That’s a new term to me… sounds pretty conceited,” a second shares.
“She loves cars?” jokes a third.
The 44-year-old elaborates on her new sexuality in her blog post, writing: “Casey Tanner, therapist, writer, and founder of QueerSexTherapy, helped us define auto sexuality as ‘a trait wherein one is turned on by engaging in their own eroticism’.”
The article continues: “A prime example of this is simply women in general.
“While it may not be true for everyone, we generally feel more sexual and turned on when we feel we are sexy. But it’s not just about the ladies.
“While m*****bation is the most obvious example, auto sexuality may extend beyond sexual behavior to include feeling a longing or desire for oneself.
“It can also be the ability to turn oneself on through looking at, visualizing, touching, or smelling oneself.”
Kourtney adds: “It could mean washing yourself lovingly in the bath and genuinely enjoying your body.
“It could mean dancing in the mirror in a cute outfit. If feeling sexy independent of someone else has ever turned you on, that’s autosexuality, and it’s totally normal.”
On Dictionary.com, the term ‘autosexual’ is defined as ‘a term for sexual attraction to oneself, especially a preference for m*****bation over s**ual intercourse’ – and a dating expert has spoken to IGV, revealing the five signs you yourself may identify as autosexual.
IGV has exclusively spoken to dating expert Alex Bert, a relationship coach with over 14 years of experience, about the phenomena.
He tells us: “As a relationship coach, I’ve noticed an emerging sexual identity that is becoming more commonly recognized – autosexuality.
“Autosexuality involves a primary sexual attraction to oneself rather than to others.”
Bert stresses that you don’t have to identify with all the signs to be considered autosexual, concluding: “Of course, sexuality exists on a spectrum, and autosexuality isn’t an all-or-nothing proposition. You can identify as autosexual while still enjoying partnered s**.
