The official trailer for Kraven the Hunter, featuring Aaron Taylor-Johnson‘s transformation into the iconic Marvel character, has been released after it was leaked online earlier.

Although the trailer for the origin story of the iconic comic book character was originally rumored to release later this week, it was leaked online earlier today. Now, everyone can view the trailer, which teases Kraven’s (played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson) background. The brief trailer indicates that his origin story has been slightly modified.

The trailer suggests that Kraven will not be using potions to gain his superhuman abilities as depicted in the comics. Instead, it appears that he may have obtained his strength and agility as a result of being attacked by a lion during his childhood. Furthermore, the trailer features several other cast members such as Russell Crowe and Ariana DeBose.

Who is in Kraven the Hunter?

Aaron Taylor-Johnson (known for Avengers: Age of Ultron) will play the role of Sergei Kravinoff, a Russian immigrant who goes by the name Kraven the Hunter in the upcoming movie. The film, called Kraven the Hunter, will present the character’s quest to prove himself as the world’s best hunter. The movie is part of Sony’s Spider-Man Universe.

Sony’s upcoming R-rated Marvel movie starring Taylor-Johnson has cast Fred Hechinger as Chameleon, who is Kraven’s half-brother. Ariana DeBose, an Oscar nominee from West Side Story, will play Calypso, who is Kraven’s romantic partner. Russell Crowe and Levi Miller have also been cast, but their roles remain unknown. The movie’s main villains will be portrayed by Christopher Abbott and Alessandro Nivola.

Oscar-nominated J.C. Chandor (known for A Most Violent Year) is directing Kraven the Hunter with a screenplay co-written by Richard Wenk (known for The Equalizer films), Matt Holloway, and Art Marcum. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are producing this project.
