The fans of former One Direction singer Liam Payne are shocked as they mourn the late singer’s passing.
The UK artist, who hit stardom on ‘X Factor,’ amassed millions of followers over the years with his great music career.
Just two days before the deadly incident Payne’s girlfriend, Kate Cassidy (who was pregnant with his child), explained why she left him in Argentina early.
Payne’s death has made her decision to leave one of the most attractive and high paid jobs in US sport even more interesting.
On October 14, Cassidy explained her departure on TikTok, saying she had been traveling with Payne in Buenos Aires.
She told the video that their planned five day trip in Argentina had turned into two weeks without any warning.
Cassidy said in the video that she was ‘so ready to leave.’ I love South America but I hate being in one place for too long… I need to go home.”
The length of their journey seems to be the reason for her desire to go home.
Cassidy also filmed her ride home in Florida, with glimpses of her lavish ride. She even referenced her seat number as ‘1D’ — a nod to Payne’s time with One Direction.
Cassidy showed no sign of trouble with Payne when she left early.
Apparently, the duo had a good time in Buenos Aires, attending former bandmate Niall Horan’s concert together.
Cassidy also posted images from their trip, which included one of them horseback riding.
Cassidy’s unease at being in one place for too long meant that she left sooner than intended during the trip, which was full of wonderful moments.
Cassidy returned to Florida, tweeting about how glad she was to be back.
She also got a rash on her neck from travel anxiety during one section of the video.
Cassidy’s fans showed their support for her in the comments of her TikTok video. Another user wrote: ‘Sweet girl please remember this is not your fault.’ Others shared their sorrow over the tragic loss.
But the circumstances that followed her departure were disastrous.
Liam Payne died on October 16, just two days after Cassidy left Argentina, after he fell from his third floor hotel room at the Casa Sur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires.
Argentina authorities said Payne fell off a height of 13 to 14 meters.
Reports of a disturbance prompted emergency services to arrive, but the efforts to revive him were unsuccessful, officials said, adding his injuries were ‘incompatible with life.’
Fans are still in shock and mourning Payne’s death, but still expressing their shock and grief.
It’s a sobering reminder of how life — sometimes life can change very quickly.
