Since White Chicks was released in 2004, fans have begged for the Wayans brothers to work on a sequel.
Although Marlon and Shawn have stated in the past how they believed a sequel wouldn’t be allowed in modern Hollywood, things may finally be coming to a change.
Since Scary Movie 6 was announced, with the Wayans back at the helm, Marlon has now dropped a major reveal that White Chicks 2 will most likely be the next to come to fruition.
Marlon shared the news while speaking at the NAACP Image Awards 2025 (as per Good Morning America), where the Wayans family were inducted into the Hall of Fame.
When asked about White Chicks 2, Marlon responded: “I think it’s time.”
“Let’s get Scary Movie 6 done,” he added.
“Then we’re gonna go bring out White Chicks 2.”
So, there you have it!
The Wayans are finally back at the helm of one of their most successful franchises and are even bringing out White Chicks 2 in the near future.
As for Scary Movie 6, not much has yet been revealed in terms of plot and cast.
Marlon, Shawn, and Keenen Ivory Wayans are all set to helm the sequel.
This marks the first Scary Movie they have led since the second instalment, which was released in theatres in 2001.
In addition to working behind the scenes on the upcoming sequel, Marlon and Shawn are also expected to be set to reprise their beloved roles as Shorty and Ray.
Die-hard fans have also speculated since the announcement that original stars such as Anna Faris and Regina Hall, who played Cindy and Brenda, will also most likely be set to return.
However, as mentioned, not much has yet been revealed.
