Pete Davidson is embracing a fresh start literally.
The comedian has revealed his nearly tattoo-free look after spending years (and a reported $200,000/£161,300) removing his signature ink.
The former Saturday Night Live star, who was once covered in tattoos, recently opened about his decision to erase them.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he joked about the painful process.
He warned fans, “Really think about that Game of Thrones tattoo you’ve been thinking about getting.”
Tattoo removal isn’t for the faint of heart. Davidson previously described it as “worse” than getting inked, explaining that it involves burning off layers of skin and requires months of healing between sessions.
He previously said, “It’s pretty terrible, so if anybody out there is watching and thinking about getting a tattoo, make sure you really want to get it.”
“Well, they’ve got to burn off a layer of your skin. And then, it has to heal for like six to eight weeks, and you can’t get in the sunlight.”
A source told People that he simply “woke up one day and wanted them gone,” and Davidson later shared on the Today show that sobriety played a big role—he no longer recognized himself.
Now, the 31-year-old has unveiled his transformation in a new campaign for sustainable fashion brand Reformation.

In a playful three-minute ad, Davidson dubs himself the “Official Boyfriend of Reformation,” cheerfully supporting women as they try on different outfits.
But it wasn’t just his comedic timing that had fans talking—it was his dramatically clearer skin.
Shirtless in the promotional photos, Davidson looked almost unrecognizable without his usual body art.
Some remnants of ink were still visible in recent TV appearances, leaving fans wondering if makeup had been used for the campaign, but one thing’s for sure—he’s almost at the finish line.
Reactions online were a mix of shock and admiration.
“That is some very impressive laser tattoo removal, you can hardly see them now,” one Reddit user wrote.
Another added, “I’m really happy for him though, he’s seemingly put his everything intro rehabilitating himself.”
“He’s looking healthier and happier than ever yet remains his authentic goofy self which we love.”
Not everyone was on board, though.
“These are doing absolutely nothing for me. Reading the comments, I‘m definitely in the minority though,” one person admitted.
