After Disney‘s release of its new live-action version of the 1937 animated classic, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, it seems another Snow White will be hitting the cinemas soon.
However, this readaptation will differ from the classic movie and will be based upon a horror retelling of the story.

This comes in lieu of the increasing popularity of transforming childhood favorite characters into slasher horror figures.
Winne-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey, released in 2023, follows the same theme of mixing horror and crime.
In the movie, Pooh and Piglet turn into feral murderers who terrorize a group of young university women.
This new adaptation of Winne-the-Pooh is often credited with garnering audiences’ interest in transforming childhood characters into slasher icons.
The Mouse Trap, another slasher horror released in 2024, is a retelling of Mickey Mouse.
The new Snow White movie, The Death of Snow White, also has a story-line which is bound to keep slasher fans hooked.
Set to release on April 18th, it follows the journey of Snow White, who runs away into the woods to escape her stepmother.
There she aligns with seven blood-thirsty dwarves, who upon Snow White’s death embark on a journey to find her killer.
Moreover, even the Dwarfs in this movie are real, and also includes females.

Fans seem super excited for this readaptation after they were left utterly disappointed after Disney’s remake starring Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot.
“This looks significantly better than the lastest Disney live action Snow White,” one commented.
Another one seems happy by the female representation:
“Finally, a gitter snow white with the seven dwarves being REAL DWARVES. Also, it’s nice seeing female dwarves in the group and not just male dwarves,” one wrote.
Fans did not hold back in roasting the 2025 live-remake by Disney:
“This one will ultimately make more of a profit and likely have a higher audience rating than the Disney flop lol,” a fourth said.
“Looking forward to this one for sure… looking much better than many of the other “public domain” films that have been coming out… Just my opinion,” another wrote.
One trailer post for The Death of Snow White on YouTube has amassed 1.5 million views via Real Fiction Studios’ YouTube channel.
