At the age of 18 now, the teenager has recounted her unusual relationship, going against the grain of the society, and breaking legal barriers.
One would never understand what had begun as a long-lost father and daughter reunion to something such as this.
At the age of 17, the teenager reconnected with her biological father who she had been separated from for more than a decade.
The pair had been estranged for 12 years and for most of what was an unstable childhood, following her parents’ separation.
First, her mother was mentally unstable and therefore, she was raised by her grandparents as her father was largely absent from her life.
In an effort to reconnect, her father reached the girl when she turned 15, but her mother was adamantly against it.

The moment they met again, they have figured out that they have similar interests, such as TV shows, art, and philosophy.
The teenager explained that while she felt attracted to him, she had tried to dismiss her feelings as she was used to being around him and had wondered if she misunderstood his behaviour.
Otherwise her bond would deepen with the time they spent together hence she would move in with him.
She said sleeping in new places made her anxious and asked her father to sleep with her at night.

Initially, he began to sleep on the couch, but with the passing of nights, they grew closer in an unexpected manner.
By the fourth night, they awoke spooning and it caused a major change in their relationship.
They admitted their romantic feelings to one another and share their first kiss over the next few days.
The teenager and her father’s relationship quickly grew sexual with her losing her virginity by her father, whom she called the experience ‘natural’.
And she said the relationship felt right and she dismissed the idea that it was inappropriate or taboo.

The teenager insists she is an adult who knows what she wants, and the nature of this is incorrectly misconstrued.
But their relationship — ‘consensual incest’ as they call it — is not legal in most states, to put it mildly, but they do have a plan.
Now they are engaged and planning a move to New Jersey, one of the few states where adult incest is not illegal.
And they’ve walked through the possibility of having children together and talking about what the genetic risk would be comparing to the genetic risk for other hereditary conditions.
However, she is still to tell her mom about the relationship, and she plans to do that the moment she gets to the new home.
Surprisingly, some of the father’s own family, even their father and mother, support their union.

The couple has also stated that their wedding will be very ‘unique’ to them.

She entered the main sanctuary in her father’s arms as her father will be wearing jeans and a dress shirt, her parents will be there supporting her and her grandfather will give her away.

The teenager says that people must educate themselves on the concept of Genetic Sexual Attraction (GSA), an explanation for their bond.
GSA stands for the strong romantic or sexual attraction that the reunion of long lost family members experience when they find one another as adults.
According to The Guardian., the studies have shown that up to 50% of such reunions end up with some type of attraction to each other, but research is limited.
The news of their relationship has left many outraged at what they consider as disturbing and unethical.
