The renowned pop icon was hospitalized on June 24 and is presently receiving intensive medical care. The star’s manager, Guy Oseary, conveyed the news via an Instagram post, revealing that she is battling a severe bacterial infection.

According to the New York Post, the 64-year-old individual was discovered in an “unresponsive” state at a residence in New York City on Saturday. Subsequently, they were admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). However, they have now been transferred to a standard ward for recuperation.

Fortunately, her manager provided reassurance to fans that her condition has significantly improved, and she is anticipated to make a complete and swift recovery.

In just under three weeks, she was poised to commence her highly anticipated ‘Celebration’ world tour. However, the shows have now been rescheduled to afford the star ample time to fully recuperate and make a triumphant return.

According to a statement released by her management team, Madonna was diagnosed with a severe bacterial infection on Saturday, June 24th. As a result, she had to spend several days in the intensive care unit.

“Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected.

“At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour. We will share more details with you soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.”
