For ‘security’ risks, Ukraine, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Yemen, South Sudan, Central African Republic and Somalia were all given the highest warning level of ‘extreme’.
Meanwhile, Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection, via Forbes, has also published a report that can help you find the safest holiday destination.
It found that the safest countries to visit in 2024 are Canada, Switzerland, and Norway. Meanwhile, the safest cities listed are Honolulu, Hawaii; Montreal, Quebec; and Reykjavik, Iceland.
However, the risk map doesn’t include Canada, instead listing Iceland, Luxembourg and Denmark.
Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection’s list also sees the United Kingdom rank at number 6, Australia at number 10 and Spain at number 14.
While it’s great to know which countries and cities are the safest to visit, it’s probably best you know which countries are worth avoiding, too!
