Ellen DeGeneres, popularly known for her long-running talk show The Ellen DeGeneres Show, is a comedian, television host and producer.
Before getting national attention, Ellen started her career as a standup comedian and gained popularity.

However, her career faced controversy following allegations of workplace toxicity and harassment.

The philanthropist did address the allegations by mentioning the things that happened on the set, “they should have never happened,” and described this experience as “devastating”. But ever since, Ellen has stayed out of the public eye.
Ellen again came to the spotlight with her Netflix special, Ellen’s Last Stand Up Tour, but she has confirmed it would be her last on-air presence.
She said, “This is the last time you’re going to see me. After my Netflix special, I’m done.”
Now, Ellen has announced that she’s leaving America permanently, along with her family. Despite being known for their love of real estate in Montecito, the couple is set apart to relocate to the UK.
The couple had already bought a house in the Cotswolds, UK, but the results of the US presidential election have escalated their plan of moving out.
According to reports from The Wrap, Ellen and her wife, Portia de Rossi, have taken this big decision following the recent Presidential Elections of US, 2024 and the victory of Donald Trump has led them bid farewell to America forever.
The couple has been flipping 21 properties in Santa Barbara County, US. Known for their luxury and design renovation expertise, Ellen and Portia have made their property flips notable and remunerated in the Real Estate world.
They plan to sell these properties, but the listing is yet to be determined.
The decision to move to the UK reflects the preference for being in a quieter place away from the noise of fame. This would also give Ellen a break and an opportunity to recover from the challenges and controversies of the past.
