The edge-of-your-seat thriller “The Castaways” is a gripping mystery series set against the backdrop of a sun-soaked, stunning tropical location. With its complex characters, heart-stopping twists, and relentless suspense, it’s no wonder people are calling it a “10/10” after binge-watching the entire season in one night. The series is based on survival, mystery, and family dynamics set in a visually captivating setting.
The plot of the binge worthy series revolves around the sisters as they uncover hidden secrets of the island, confront mysterious figures, and try to survive with the odds of deception and a complex web of lies. Here’s the synopsis:
“Lori and Erin are on the holiday of a lifetime to Fiji. But after a huge fight, Erin never boards their final flight and the plane never arrives at its destination. Months later, no plane has been found, no survivors discovered. Until now. Each shocking twist will help to reveal the truth about what happened to Lori and the other passengers – a truth that someone on the island will kill to keep secret.”

During an interview on Virgin Radio U.K., Smith shared her experience working on the TV series, describing it as “completely different” from anything she’s done in the past.
The actress told the media, “I can’t swim. I’m scared of heights. I’m scared of spiders. I’m scared of everything. And I took this job. I took it on one episode. I’d read one episode, which was the plane crash, and I thought ‘I can deal with that.’ Then suddenly, I’m in the water for four episodes… and I can’t swim. And also jumping off cliffs. But I’ve conquered some fears! I’m pleased I did it. It’s really action-packed and so different from anything I’ve done before.”
She further said: “There’s so many twists and turns, and then also once I’m on the island, the survivors of the plane crash, there’s all kinds of suspicions going on. My character is immediately suspicious of people.”
